In a way, I'm glad that I have things that need to be done. Tomorrow, I need to see about getting a temp insurance card as I lost my other one in preparation for getting my registration and license transferred to Kentucky on Friday.
Oddly enough, I'm not stressed about that at all. I'm pretty confident that I can get all this done reasonably quickly and without too much hassle. Since I own my car out right and I have the title here with me, the only thing that I might have trouble with is proving residence in this state. But, since I've only been here a week and I need to get my registration done on my car this weekend or otherwise, my tags will be out of date, I think they'll work with me on that. The one thing that I'm going to stress to them is that I want to be able to drive legally. That alone will probably spur them on to allowing me to do what I need to do with getting all that straightened out.
Too, I'm building rapport with Joe's parents. I made soup today for everyone and they seemed to like it. I mostly made it for Joe since he was sick (still is but he's feeling a lot better now).
I'm almost done with my socks and hopefully, within the next few days, I'll be getting more in the mail. Joe was sweet enough to order me some for my birthday that's coming up this weekend (hence the need for me to get my tags and license straight LOL). I'll be working with real sock yarn, wool blends and all that. Overall, I'll have enough sock yarn for more than 6 pairs so I'll be in hog yarn heaven LOL The only thing now that I wish I had was enough superwash wool yarn for a sweater or a shawl but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I had thought about stopping at Jo Ann's before I left Cleveland to get some Moda Dea washable wool but that's about $8 a skein *eek* when Knit Picks superwash wool is less than $4 a skein and that's comparable yardage too. More colors too.
For the moment, I'm taking a break from the socks and starting an afghan that I've been wanting to make from the Caribbean Scarf pattern. There's an afghan pattern based on that stitch pattern but it's done all in one piece and I want to do strips so I'm just going to make a bunch of scarf size strips and sew them together.
