Here are a couple devotionals I have just read in the past two days, that have really spoke to me. and I feel that they could help you as well. Quoting from the book "from faith to faith" a daily guid to victory by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland.
What would you think if I told you that you could live without fear? would you believe me if I said that despite what you saw on the news tonight, you could be perfectly at peace? Impossible? unrealistic? no!
you see, fear isn't just a reaction to external circumstances. It's a spiritual force. It begins inside of you. And it is totally destructive. In fact, fear is satan's primary weapon, He moves in response to fear, the way God moves in response to faith. He challenges the promises of God with it.
An excellent example of this is found in mathew 14 when Jesus invited Peter to come to him on the water. "but when he (peter) saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me" (verse 30)
what enabled Peter to walk on the water? His faith in the word of Jesus. What caused Peter to sink? He saw the wind boisterous and he was afraid. It wasn't the wind that deafted him, it was his fear of it. He looked at his circumstances, gave in to the fear, and the result was defeat. If peter had kept his focus on Jesus, his fath would never have wavered. All the blustering and blowing in the world couldn't have drawn him off course.
Faith is developed by meditating on God's word. Fear is developed by meditating on satan's lies. Such fearful meditataion is called "worrying" Don't do it!!
The word of god is the sword of the spirit. Use it to fight satan every timte he comes against you. Hold up your shield of faith and quench all of his fiery darts. Speak the words of faith and fear will disapear. Scripture reading" Pslam 27
Medidate on the word and you will succeed.
Next Devotional which has really related to my situation, and most likely yours as well.
STRENGTH MADE PERFECT
When you run into an impossible situation, a situation you simply don't have the strength or the ability to handle, are you often tempted to simply give up and accept defeat? Don't! Instead shout, "Glory!" because the word says God's strength is about to be made perfect in you.
THe word translated "strength" in this scripture is dunamis. It means "god's miracle-working power." Just think about that. WHen your human strength ends, God has promised that his miraculous power will bring you through!
If you'll look in Acts 14, you can see that promise in action. The apostle Paul was stoned by a group of Jews, taken out of the city and left for dead. Paul's human strength had ended. He was absolutely powerless.
But the disciples gathered around him and prayed, the Lord raised him up, and he went on his way. In other words, when Paul didn't have enough human strength to overcome, God's miracle-working power was sufficient for him. It enabled him to be an overcomer in spite of his weakness!
So, if you are facing a crisis today-
If you're sick and medicine has failed you-
If your finances are out of control-
If your family is falling apart-
If bad habits have you hopelessly bound-
If you've done absolutely all you know to do and you still haven't gotten restults-
Then rejoice! for when human strength ends, the power of Gods excels!
Only believe!
God's grace is sufficient for you!
SCRIPTURE READING: Acts 14:1-22
ROMANS 10:9
If you confess that Jesus is the lord and belive that God raised him from death you will be saved.
In the spirit you are healed.
My prayer for everyone.
Lord, I just wanted to pray for everyone on this website to help them, save them and open their hearts and minds. Fill them with your wisdom and strength. Help these people make it through their crisis. Ease their minds, knowing that they can and will be healed, and that there is hope. In Jesus name, Amen.

Powerful Words
"For when human strength ends only the power of God excels!" Thank you for this devotional. It is a nice remider of the power and grace of God and our individual need to surreneder to that larger power. Often I do feel like Peter, looking at my surroundings rather than the Lord, and eventually succumbing to those anxieties. The beatuy and the mystery is that oten in the midst of our suffering we reach the point where we simply have to reach out for God. Amazingly, God is always there and his grace saves us. It reminds me of a quote I recently heard, "When you reach the end of your rope, God is there"
Thanks for the post and the beatiful prayer.
God bless you. Peace.
