I started a job today, and hopefully it will turn into something worthwhile. The job world and I have never jived, and I think that world is totally fucked up. I will admit that I have had a lot of jobs over the years. But, its never been about the work. Its always been because of other people. Lousy bosses, co-workers who won't mind their own business and who never shut the fuck up, the pay sucks, the commute is shitty, and all have played a part in this whole thing. But, first and foremost, its the people.
A long time ago, I had a few jobs where I worked for screamers. That and the fact I was verbally and physically abused growing up, made me hate authority, and I still do have a problem with it. Even more so, are the co-workers. Now, I am a quiet person, and I like to keep to myself. I am good if a person just gives me a job, and lets me do it on my own. I have always had jobs where these women are always running their yap, and talking about stupid shit. Then, I have had co-workers who always end up saying stupid things to me. That, and the fact that they don't mind their own business. At the last job I had, this guy made stupid comments about my having an energy drink. He comes in my office and says, "You should be drinking water. Those things are full of sugar". So I said, "No, I will stick with my drink." Then, another day, the dumbass makes another stupid statement. Again, I just repeated myself, and I made sure that he saw my energy drink. Why the hell don't people mind their own fucking business? And, I like to eat my lunch by myself. I want that quiet time. I just go in, do my job and leave. Too many people like to stand around the watercooler and talk about their weekend, how big their son's penis has gotten, etc. I hate chit-chat, and one other thing that I ABSOLUTELY HATE AT WORK are CLIQUES. There always these groups of women or men that are ALWAYS TOGETHER. I have always hated cliques.
We'll see what day 2 brings........
