36 hours...

That's how long I was up yesterday/earlier today. I actually hadn't planned on staying up that long but that's how it ended up. Again, it's truly amazing how well I do when I get little to no sleep... but then again, if I had to work daily, that wouldn't do me any good. I've tried that... going without sleep at all and tried to work. All that did was make me incredibly cranky and bitchy.

I slept about 12 hours, possibly a little too hard too as I've got one of those headaches that seems like it doesn't want to go away.

I managed to get to the craft store and lucked out in a big way (well, in my viewpoint, I did...). They had 2 brands of yarn that I've been wanting for a while so I went a little crazy. Cotton Ease (cotton/acrylic blend) was there so I got 6 skeins for a sweater (still not 100% sure that I have enough so I'll have to go back and get more..) Plus, they had some washable wool yarn (Moda Dea brand which is from Coats And Clark, who makes Red Heart yarns...). That yarn, I want more of. I only got 2 skeins, thinking that I'd make a hat or some wrist warmers but now that I've swatched it, I want to make a sweater from it. It's soft, great stitch definition and it's a little stretchy (possibly could make socks from it...)

*yes, I'm a yarn addict...*

The other brand I was looking for is Vanna's Choice. Yes, it's named after Vanna White of 'Wheel Of Fortune' fame. She's a life long crocheter so it's not a stretch that she has a yarn brand of her own. I got 3 skeins of that in a purple print color (really nice) that I'm making a scarf out of.

On the same yarny topic, I've been going through my stash and I have more than a few 100% wool yarn that I had planned on making hats to send to the troops but the pattern that is needed is a little too complicated for me to figure out so... I think I might make a felted project bag with all that. I think I have about... 10 skeins of brown, deep olive and gray that I can use. I can't find the gray but I know I have it.
